Dig a Little Deeper is a dynamic stage reading where Southern Exposure monologues and Rhyme N Chatt’s interactive poetry community come together to amplify the voices of underserved and underrepresented Chattanoogans. The play is based on oral history interviews with people who lived int he city during the 1950s and 60s along with a couple of welcomed young interlopers. The monologue script was written by Peggy Douglas with dramaturg Marsha Mills Davis creating the role of Mama D.
